Strange happenings in Circle Meetings

What happens in a circle meeting sometimes can cause reactions that are difficult to explain. The sudden cold, a spiders web touching the face etc are results of external energies that are deliberately built up to use in the correct way, healing or specific development for example, but what of the internal effects of those same energies on the people sitting there?

A reader describes an experience that is a bit weird / unpleasant at just such a time.

“A feeling would start in my throat, then my nose and eyes would stream and finally my head would appear to expand and then thump with energy.  I found this unpleasant.” 

She goes on to say that the comments made by the medium at the time were that it was the spirit trying to use her voice box and that she should become a trance medium. 

I often come across pronouncements like this: “You should become a healer / medium / platform worker / trance worker / because such-and-such has happened.”

I conclude the person who gives this kind of announcement predicting anyone’s future is either totally irresponsible through ignorance and/or has no idea how spirit guides and helpers truly do their beautiful work.

Firstly the basic rule is that Spirit will never do anything you do not want them to do.
This means that if something is happening and you ask it to stop - it will.
You say loud and clear inside your head "Stop it!"

Simple logic here: If it doesn't stop then it is NOT spirit. Therefore if it's NOT spirit you simply have a trigger reaction that is a pest!
 
There are other reasons that might cause you to have odd things happen on the physical level while sitting in circle in all those new energies that are going to stir up all the levels, and it’s this; your glands in your head and the throat chakras are adjusting!

I read a lot about this kind of thing when I first started to get odd things happen to me.

Yawning was a bind to me for ages - I was afraid that people in the circle would think I was rudely hinting at boredom - then I found a reference to it in an old book written by comedian Michael Bentine [I think auto biography  Google Alibris Books] who was a spiritualist, he explained it by saying it’s the pressure adjustments in the circle room, when the energies start to rise [like going up in an aeroplane!]

Then later I had massive loads of earwax! Horrid! [Just like plain journeys] and found a reference to exactly that in an even older book - it said the pineal and pituitary glands when developing trigger all sorts of strange changes, and they are only temporary – which they were for me.

Our reader rightly questions the pronouncement by the leader of the group that “it was the spirit trying to use my voice box and that I should be a trance medium” I can only think that this person was wishing for miracles!  

The spirit guides do NOT work in this way - I assure you of this most definitely! 

Apart from that it takes a long time to develop such specialised mediumship hinted at here, it’s in essence a very delicate nature, and is usually found to be developed within a very private select circle that have been together for a long time expressly for this purpose.

This kind of direct voice mediumship which is using ectoplasm has been phased it out in the last 20 years or so for the very good reason that it can be dangerous to the medium. I see no sign of, or reason for, it to suddenly be revived.

My advice to our friend was this:

“Do do do continue with the circle that you are most comfortable with, have a laugh with friends about the funny things that can happen - spirit all want us to learn and enjoy the process, we are here to be glad of Gods gifts, not to be fearful of life itself! If God didn't have a sense of humour he would not have made flying fish - and put food on trees to give us a day off!"
