A Typical Letter from a Reader ... 

Hiya,

I am just asking for some advice really. I found your website on a google search.

I am wanting to develop my psychic side.

I have no idea how to go about it, I have been reading angel cards and tarot cards and trying to learn it myself.

I have also completed my reiki 1 shoden. I would really just like some guidance as where to go or if you can help me.

Are you wanting to be a healer? It sounds like it if the reiki has attracted you, and the Tarot is all about communications isn't it?

I'm all in favour of developing each of the three aspect of psychic ability, or spirituality if you call it that, these are; healing, communications, and philosophy.

Many people learn through self teaching at first just like you have, then when they get a bit stuck most of us go on to join a church - which opens up a whole new world!!!

Where do you live?

One way of finding a church is through various websites, or you can buy a book called "The Signpost" it's on the reading list on this site. [Top right hand corner of the front page.]

We've found that citizens advice offices have lists of all churches in the area too, or maybe there is an advert in your local paper for groups meeting in your area, not everyone has their own building, many small groups rent space in other churches.

When you find a church near you ask if they hold 'open circles' and go along there to see what you can learn from other people and observe how they are developing their abilities, this is a good way of getting a bit of teaching. [ Main Menu - Articles - Teaching on the site too]

This will also have the added effect of showing you if they are your sort of people, this is important for our progression because we all need to have compatibility with our fellow travelers on the path of development, for the simple reason that psychic abilities are all about creating empathy.

Its impossible to develop in a place where there is tension!

Have you looked on the website at what an 'open circle ' is?

Look under - Articles - Teaching - "The importance of the Developing Circle" ... another good one to read is Articles - Mediumship - "Preparation for the Skill"

The Spiritualist National Union has a good programme of teaching, and you can apply through their website for the distance learning courses.

Please don't think that you have to 'be a spiritualist' to join a church, it's all about our personal path of development, most people know they can belong to a church of any denomination - perhaps from childhood - and still go to a spiritualist church too,  it is very important to understood that in the spiritualist philosophy all are welcome, there is no exclusiveness !
