A Nature Story - Sept 07
We are big fans of the Animal Planet
channel on the Sky network, and particularly love the 'Wildlife Rescue'
programms of our own natural island inhabitants.
Since moving to Norfolk I made a 'mental list' [for my spirit guides] of the wild creatures I
would like to see, and have now just about seen them all very clearly on my travels around and about.
When I made the list originally I did say to my spirit friends that just a glimpse would
make me question if I was seeing things, so, when I saw a badger
in the middle of the road and he ran about in a panic back and forth in the road for so long ... I
thought that my spirit friends were having a joke with me!
But recently I
added the familiar little hawk quite common in England, [not sure if it's a sparrow hawk] which I hadn't seen very much since coming to this area, and also we're usually going too fast down the main roads to London to get a good look when I do spot one.
So, whilst out for a drive yesterday, a pretty light brown hawk came
down and flew very close to the road surface in front of the car, we followed it for 1/4 a mile or so, traveling at 20 mph for all that distance to keep up with him!
Amazing!
Also on the list was a deer which I first saw running on the footpath in front of me but quite far away, never the less I was thrilled.
Was I moaning when I said out loud that a closer look would have been better?
Maybe!
But a few days later I saw him again,
this time in the water down by the path, and he didn't see me
so I got a better look that time!
Thank you to my spirit friends.
