What does love mean?
Love has many shapes and guises
Love does not just mean the wild heart-throbbing thrill of romantic love
Which is so often mere infatuation
Love simply means the touching of two souls
The meeting of two minds
And the genuine compassion of a sympathetic heart
Love is wanting to be close to someone
The radiant pleasure of that first greeting
And the anguish of a fond farewell
We can all love so many different people in so many different ways

Love is the most basic and the most enduring of all human emotions.
