Here are some questions that I have had in open debate / question time.

1. Why don't psychics win all of the lotteries?

How do you know they don't?

Seriously, being psychic is not looking into the future, it's reading what is 'written' in a person's aura. A medium talks to spirit, and why would they give that information? It would take away the personal responsibility of each person. In other words the future can always be changed and changed up until the moment of manifestation.

Lotteries are played by many millions of people all projecting differing energies on the outcome. When a psychic attempts to attune to the future numbers they are flooded with the conflicting energy patterns of all those playing. They may get a true reading for that moment, but it could change the next moment. The truly advanced souls who can know the winning lottery numbers, or who could control the numbers have no need to play the game.We attract to us what we need for the opportunity to progress, so if winning is what's needed - that's what will be attracted!

2. How can an all loving and all merciful God have wrath?

Who on earth says God does? Consider that statement and you will find such a god is a manufactured concept based on unenlightened understanding of God and the universe – in other words;  "Is God a person?

3. What role, if any does a person's diet affect their spiritual growth?

If a person gets exercise and has a healthy diet, the mind will work more clearly and the energies will flow more freely through the brain, mind and body. Poor diet can also cause a person to have a foggy mind and be less in the 'present'. One of the objectives of yoga practices is to maximize health in order to prolong healthy life in order to accomplish as much as possible spiritually. 4. Do you eat meat? (Including chicken and fish).

The choice to eat or avoid certain foods is an individual matter. Many people have subtle allergies to some foods, and each metabolism is different, like myself. I have been a pure vegan and also vegetarian at certain periods of my life, but I now eat chicken and fish, but not red meat. This is mostly a personal issue of what I have found works best for my body, [and not a recommendation for others]. As the apostle Paul said in Romans 14:17 "The Kingdom of God is not meat and drink.‿

5. Is the Eastern Hemisphere inhabited by older, more advanced souls?

Historically the tolerance level for advanced spiritual practices has been higher in the East. Although I cannot understand why this should be so – maybe our lack of ‘live and let live’ attitude is to blame?

Or perhaps the climate, politics, and other factors have influenced spiritual progression, but I tend to think that prosperity breeds all the seven deadly sins, and God seems to talk more to those who are listening !!

6. In your opinion, should metaphysicians involve themselves in politics?

This is an individual matter. A person should follow his or her life path. Politics should not be avoided since much good in preserving individual freedoms can be achieved by those who feel directed to involve themselves in politics. Others find they are most effective channeling their energies in other directions according to their own path. If only the more spiritually conscious people went more into politics! How do we tell which is which? --- By their own fruits shall you know them.

7. Is it better to avoid negative people, or should one try to help raise their consciousness?

Many of the great saints of history dedicated their lives to helping the disadvantaged. Others choose a quiet life of solitude, and some of the masters are very practical in this subject, that going out into the world is going to do more good that just talking about it, however pious the talk. But there also may be karmic reasons to work with helping negative or disadvantaged people.

However if there are certain people clinging to your life who are continually negative and are not sincerely attempting to progress, you would be better to put your time and energy elsewhere. It is possible to be drained of spiritual energy by another person - either knowingly or not - it happens in the inexperienced healer quite often.  Protection for all circumstances [work or home] is in prayer, always begin by asking for that protection, many people forget this and get unwanted results!

8. When seeking guidance from the Supreme Being, how can one know the idea you get is His and not your own?

Higher guidance always has one goal and purpose to further your spiritual progress.

Learning to clearly distinguish higher guidance from the background noise of your own thoughts and the thought forms of others is a skill, which takes time and practice.

Practice listening to your heart, that is where God lives in you. It helps to put your hand over your heart area, close your eyes, relax, focus on your heart area, and ask your questions. Let the answers gently rise to your awareness. [See "The Silver Screen"  in the Articles Section - Lessons]

Life will always present you with what you need most. How you respond to it determines what is presented next. Remember ... "Like attracts like".

9. If you leave your body while sleeping, can you direct yourself where you want to go?

I think you mean 'Astral Traveling' The Tibetan monks were adepts at this, and it is a skill that can be developed, but I feel this is not a good idea for we who live in the work-a-day world, for the simple reason that the rest during this time is needed, rather than being used for other things. 10. Is this the same as astral projection?

As generally used the term "astral projection" refers to a projection of the astral body with a degree of conscious awareness.

The astral body is one of many bodies we all have as part of our creation - they are needed for our manifestation from spirit entity to physical being. 

Astral travel, or projection, may be induced or spontaneous. Many lucid dreams are actually astral projections. Yes, the astral body does separate from the physical body during sleep, but in most cases remains close to the physical body.

The 'Silver Cord' joins all the different bodies together, and is broken at so-called 'death', as the physical is released.

11. How can subliminal tapes help you while listening to them asleep, if you're not in your body?

The astral body is not the same as the subconscious mind. Sleep programming tapes work on the unconscious or subconscious mind and have nothing to do with the astral body.

12. Can one control what they dream about?

13. Is it possible when you are out of your body, for another spirit to take it over?

It depends what caused you to go out of your body. This would mean that you have given up your personal responsibility. Excessive drug and alcohol use, and sometimes accidents can make a person more vulnerable, but there are usually other factors at work as well. The subject of split personalties and mental illness is very deep.  

In short ... this is not for the experimental amateur!
