VISUALISATION
A word before we start....
Visualisation is the imagination, a faculty by which we may conjure up something that has no existence in reality, and by which we may grasp that which cannot be seen.
It is scientific to use the faculty of sight to make sure of the presence of a visible person, so why is it unscientific to use the faculty of imagination to realize an unseen presence?
It is not unscientific. Science uses imagination more than she is ready to admit. A man sees an apple fall. He imagines a law, which he cannot see. He tests it in experiment, and he finds confirmation.
Thousands have imagined a spiritual presence, tested it in experience, and found that something marvellous and transforming has happened to them.
Spiritual reality is reached not through argument, by thorough experience.
This visualisation in it’s own sphere is as reputable as sight. Why not use it to test the theory of a presence, as a scientist would do?
“Seek and you will find� is as true today as it was in Bible times.
Testing … testing…spirit calling earth…
How else are we to land a man on the moon, but through the imagination that it is possible to do so? …
Oh yes …we’ve already done that!!
MEDITATION
This is a continuation of visualisation with a bit of extra dicipline thrown in.
The need to 'empty ' the mind is a fallacy. Don't even try.
If the mind is behaving like a wandering child, just treat it as one and gently take it back to where you were, focusing on the process in hand.
We concentrate on our breathing, and with practice we can 'pop' into the state of relaxed expectancy more easily each time - I know this is so.
The 'sitting in the cinema' kind of expectancy is the one to aim for, all is well - and eventually the film will begin, till then we will just sit and concentrate on our breathing.....
If nothing happens today, you probably need the rest!
My husband goes to sleep a lot during healing meditations, and wakes up so refreshed - he likes to sit any time...!!!

The exercise.
In this first one the object is to receive. Maybe you have been asking for information….?
I have described this first exercise in other essays for the student [under visualisation in the Clairvoyant section.]
Visualisation means make the picture inside your head. There are many other exercises for you to find in books and on this site.
Suspend interference! Quiet is essential. Peace and tranquillity. Turn off the phone and put ‘do not disturb’ on the door.
Exercise one.
Visualise on your minds eye that picture house / cinema …
Walk in and sit down …
Relax, get comfortable.
Wait …
The lights go down …
The curtains pull back …
The film is about to start …
Be patient …
Maybe the projectionist is a bit slow …
Quiet expectation is the key …
No excitement …
Relax …
Waiting for the guy to get going …
This is the hardest part; you need a lot of patience …
Take three deep breaths..
One for the Body... One for the Mind... One for the Spirit
Inhale slowly, breathing in the white light of the universe.
Exhale slowly, releasing all the worries of the day...
wait … wait …
Now ask the questions which you have uppermost in your mind, remember to keep it simple. For example a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ reply at first, just ‘till you get the hang of this…
The communication may be in a metaphor, like a negative object maybe a picture of an ejector seat going off from a plane… or simply the feeling of rejection.

This one is for our own inner peace and is a straight foreward guided visualisation.
Relax, get comfortable.
Take three deep breaths..
One for the Body... One for the Mind... One for the Spirit
Inhale slowly, breathing in the white light of the universe.
Exhale slowly, releasing all the worries of the day...
Begin by envisioning a beautiful white light.. floating just above your crown chakra. Relax as you feel this white light gently moving down into your crown chakra..
Know that this light is clearing any blocks or problems you may be having with this chakra..
See these worries leaving your crown chakra through a beautiful violet coloured light...
Begin to feel this white light gently moving down into your third eye chakra.. Know that this light is clearing any blocks or problems you may be having with this chakra..
See these worries leaving your third eye chakra through a beautiful indigo coloured light...
Begin to feel this white light gently moving down into your throat chakra.. Know that this light is clearing any blocks or problems you may be having with this chakra..
See these worries leaving your throat chakra through a beautiful blue coloured light...
Begin to feel this white light gently moving down into your heart chakra.. Know that this light is clearing any blocks or problems you may be having with this chakra..

See the energy now flowing down your legs and into the ground..
Notice that you have a continuous flow of light coming from above your crown through your body and into Mother earth.
Relax in your balanced state, and let your mind take you to a wonderful, peaceful place... perhaps a warm sandy beach...
Visualize yourself walking along the shore as you feel the warmth of the sand as it touches your feet.
Smell the fresh ocean air, as you gaze out at the beautiful blue sky...
You might notice that the ocean is filled with light.. A light which has all of the colours of a rainbow... You walk into this pool of light...
It is so refreshing as you splash this wonderful light all over your body..... You are at peace...
Take a few moments to meet someone while you are here, a friend or family member, or perhaps your Guardian Angel.
Have a conversation with this person, or simply relax and enjoy the moment of tranquillity.

What is happening is this; you are suspending your brain activities so spirit can use the energy to project their image for you. The visualisation part is slowing the brain waves down, stepping mentally ‘down’ through the alpha – beta – gamma - delta – phases, from activity to passivity.
We do this every night, we pass through all these stages into sleep, and in certain circumstances we go even further into a trance, and we can pass further again - that’s called a coma.
Now when you have had a few ‘goes’ at this, visualising and waiting, you will learn to stay in the passive state just waiting for contact. And later on still it will be as easy as blinking. The spirit world is always there; we just don’t look at it all the time.
