A letter from a typical reader. Hi Stella, I wanted to find out a bit more about myself or maybe even some guidance? I feel like since my birth I've had to struggle for everything, a family, happiness, love money (the usual stuff) and I can't understand why I always end up with nothing. But otherwise I feel like I'm at odds with the people in my life and forces far greater than myself. I've had countless readings that always leave me confused and have been duped into giving up untold sums of money (not a reflection on the people that have given me some sound advice) sometimes it seems so easy to say 'let me just give up' but I know deep in my heart I'm destined for some greater good. Most people come into their spiritual awareness with questions and more questions, this is only right. Spiritualism is absolutely all for questions - and nobody takes anything ‘on faith’ around here….The point is that we each do come into that spiritual awareness. Progression is what it’s all about – progressing on our life path in order to get nearer to the spiritual beings that we truly are, [and a little better in the human department too!]
When things seem not to be going as planned, or worse than everyone else, there is a lot of confusion regarding what we are meant to be doing with our lives, have we gone wrong in some way? Have we brought about all this trouble onto ourselves? No. But, there is no trouble free way of progressing in this or any other world, if there was we would all lead ‘charmed’ lives, and probably not progress in our development an any level either! I don’t know about you but I find that I learn from my own mistakes better than from anyone else’s! This is the thing to remember, we have all our experiences for a good reason, to learn how improve ourselves, if only we could do this without the bother ! When you look back at the seeming struggles for so long in your life, you are looking through the eyes of ‘now’ and the emotions that are in the present. If you were to go back and look through the eyes of ‘then’ things would not feel the same because the emotions are different, yes? It is not easy to find emotions that give us a lift out of the sadness we are experiencing, I know, but the trick of being content [note I don’t say ‘happy’ here] is that with conscious effort the temporary emotions can be exchanged for better ones, just realising they are only emotions from the perhaps tiredness of ‘now’, and that we can choose to disregard them with a little effort. In other words we mustn’t let our current feelings cloud our judgment when we are tired or run down. How to do this - asking for help is good, seeking guidance makes us overcome the ego, or pride, in admitting we can’t do everything. Having a ‘reading’ is one way of getting clarification, but sometimes that makes things more confusing. It is so important to get a reading from a person who knows how to get the right kind of guidance through the spiritual connection. [See this page later about 'A Private Sitting' Click >>HERE << ] So what then? Self-help is a beginning. By getting rid of tiredness and receiving some of that energy back again for ourselves. By letting yourself be one with the power within is a good way to start. We do this by going to that ‘within’ place. This is using the stillness inside us all to clear away the debris of life and its upsets. Visualisation is the first step to finding stillness and so renewing the energies, or our ‘batteries’, for both the benefit of the self and others. When we give of ourselves in our work we can find that there is not enough energy to help our own healing and so get those emotions to regulate in a better way. A SUGGESTED MEDITATION Having relaxed physically by deliberate application, you need to relax mentally. So gather all the daily problems, irritations…etc. and bring them into mind. Realise that for the moment you cannot deal with them. Visually wrap them into a parcel and put them into a corner of the room until after the exercise. Now take your mind on a thought / visual journey of your choice, deliberately going through a door or gate to start with. Continue on your journey to find peace, knowledge and understanding, aiming to reach and recognise any spirit influences around you. **For example walking in a garden or on a beach, feel the ground / sand beneath your feet. Hear the birds singing; hold your head up to the sunshine etc… use your imagination s much as possible. Reach the focal point of your journey and remain there for a while, enjoying the peace and being aware of all sensations. [At this time for you the focal point is re-charging your energies so perhaps use the metaphor of a hose pipe into the 'main supply pool' of love and light energy, or whatever comes to mind.]
When you feel ready, begin re-tracing your journey, remembering to return through the door/gate and closing it behind you.
Practice and practice till you can take yourself off into that place and re-charge your batteries easily; this is even better than a 'power nap'! I do hope this has been helpful to you, Love and light
