This is from my friend at one of the Leeds Spiritualist Churches [Greater World] which is held at the Quaker Meeting house, opposite the University main building there. "A Woman" Be very careful if you make a woman cry, because God counts her tears. The woman came out of a man's rib. Not from his feet to be walked on. Not from his head to be superior, but from the side to be equal. Under the arm to be protected ... ... and next to the heart to be loved. This poem is written in the Hebrew Talmud, the book where all of the sayings and preaching of Rabbis are conserved over time. ............................................................ A little less serious ... From A Woman … Dear Lord, I pray for: Wisdom to understand my man, Love to forgive him, and Patience, for his moods. Because Lord, if I pray for strength, I'll just beat him to death! End.
