Part One of Auras.
Exercise one. Do this with a friend in a gently lit room.
- With your friends back towards you, place your chair a few feet away and, with a few deep breaths. Quietly take time to relax.
- Close your eyes and think of your friend as a having many levels, their physical form being the lowest or most dense level.
- Keeping your eyes closed; imagine your friend’s physical outline and then allow your inner eye and vision to show you their energy body. Don’t be disappointed if nothing happens in early attempts – persistence, and confidence are the key. You are re-programming your subconscious, asking it to reveal what may have been hidden from you for many lifetimes! Give yourself time. ---- The subconscious was once described to me as an old man sitting in front of the fire, slippers on, reading the paper. He’s happy where he is, but will take notice and move, if you are persistent and consistent.
- Slowly open your eyes and continue to relax, allowing yourself to adjust to seeing objectively again, (inner vision being subjective). Concentrate your gaze around the shoulders at first, and you may detect a hazy, almost transparent quality shimmering around the shoulders, head and neck. As the perception develops, you may see a smoky bluish colour around the physical body, about two to four inches deep or maybe more. It may seem to vibrate or even shimmer as your friend breathes.
- In time, you will begin to notice even the spiky radiations that stick our like hairs on a cropped head, all around the etheric or energy body. [ This exercise can be repeated with animals, flowers or trees.]
Exercise two.
- Place your hands together, with palms facing, and only fingertips touching.
- Relax and take a few deep, slow breaths, then very slowly, draw your hands apart, watching and concentrating.
- Try to see the bond, a kind of stickiness, between the hands and especially the fingertip. You may even see the strands of energy between your fingers and palms as you move your hands slowly apart.
Exercise three.
- Shake your hands rapidly for a few seconds, then hold them still, palms inwards for a moment, about twelve inches apart.
- Gradually, move your hands towards each other, feeling and sensing the change in the density of the space between them. If you practice, when hands are about four to six inches apart, you will feel [and maybe see] pressure or resistance between them – one of my students said it was rather like holding a balloon between the hands..
- Your fingers may tingle or start to feel hot.
These exercises are the beginning of seeing the aura. Practice, and it will become easier with time.
A good place to practice is while watching the speaker in church, a plain white background is best, the aura is not the 'white shadow' but the light which expands with the energies being used, you might see other 'light people' moving about or joining with the speaker at different times. Try it and 'see'...!
