WHEN A CHILD DIES.
By Donald Rodgers.
What is it that happens
When a young child dies?
“Is it God’s wrath??
You can hear Parents cry.
“Why is God doing this to us??
You can hear Dad and Mum,
“Are we being punished?
For things that we have done??
Dear friends, the Great Spirit above,
Wraps us all in His love,
What happened is not punishment or wrath,
Life on this plane is like a ‘flame and the moth’.
We are drawn to this plane
By a spiritual flame,
With a blueprint that to
Our soul is so plain.
And if we live a month,
Or a hundred years,
What really matters
Is what we learn while we are here.
The heartbreak,
The sadness, the tears,
We all get our share
As we go through the years.
But there is a saying
Known by nearly everyone,
And that saying is:
“Only the good die young.?
It’s very hard for us to understand,
The spirit world we see with only material eyes.
We cannot see the spirit plan,
Behind all our lives that doth lie.
A young one may come, to this material plane,
To experience a love that only you can give,
But only the soul that’s within knows,
The time that it may live.
We can only go on
Just by doing our best,
For its only by living
Can we meet the test.
The Great Spirit sets us
A crown to be won.
But always remember
Its God’s will be done.
End.

This book is by Sylvia Barbanell. This is a beautiful book. Printed by Lowe and Brydone Ltd, London.
This is the most emotive subject, but also the best reading I have ever seen on the subject.
It is very old, printed in 1942 and 1964! I obtained my copy through an antiquarian book society there are quite a few on the net. See "Reading for All"
The poem below was written by my husband many years ago, he used to sit on his Church platform as Chhairman of the service and meditate when the speaker was busy working, then poems would come to him.
There are many more for me to copy on lots of different subjects.
