A Psychic is someone who works on the material and physical level, working with information available to everyone. This information may come from another person’s aura, from another’s thoughts or from information available from the earth’s aura, such as in the case of water divining. See article on Dowsing.
WHAT IS MIND OVER MATTER?
Mind over matter — moving objects by thought or will power alone. These belong to the psychic and are exercised without spirit intervention, and there are many kinds of psychic work.
WHAT DO SO CALLED ‘GYPSIES’ GIVE READINGS WITH?
Aura Reading, Crystal Gazing, Palmistry, Psychometry, Precognition, Psycho-kinesis, and Tarot Reading. Reading someone’s aura that has been transferred to a flower or item of jewelery, this is called Psychometry. Using crystal balls, crystals, a glass of water and other reflective materials or palms of the hand - a psychic can ‘tune in’ to these auric fields and pick up moods, emotions, illnesses, thoughts, and events that have occurred in the past, and maybe events that only might happen These things are not mediumship in themselves, and result from picking up information from a person’s aura, but may be used in honing the psychic senses when in training, as long as it is recognised as such, just a training tool.
WHY IS FORTUNE TELLING BAD OR GOOD?
There is a very good reason why fortune telling is strictly against the codes of practice of the Churches. If you think about it carefully, by adopting the attitude that all is ‘written’ this takes away the personal responsibility. That is one of the things that all the spirit masters agree on, not possible!
DO MEDIUMS USE PSYCHIC SENSES?
Sometimes a medium, when giving a message from the spirit world, can lapse back into giving psychic information. Depending on the ability of the medium, they may or may not be aware of this, but a sincere medium will admit if they are working psychically. Close observation of mediums whilst they are working will reveal in which way they are working. A Medium is in direct communication with people who have passed into the spirit world. The truth is no one dies. The essence – spirit – soul - lives on in another dimension we call the spirit world.

Mediumship is the ability to receive, recognize and convey information from the worlds of spirit, and there are two main types of mediumship - mental mediumship and physical mediumship.
