CLAIRVOYANCE AND HEALING
Note from Stella: This article whilst being directed at the practicing Spiritualist Healer, within the church or not, is also for the aspiring student or patient.
Healing on a spiritual level, because it is a passive transfer of energy, tends to make one think that there is nothing to be done while spirit get on with it. And that in fact we as healers can't be doing anything else, because it is not allowed under the rules, indicated as 'other practices'.
Other practices are Reiki and Aromatherapy etc, of course for insurance reasons the church can't have these other practices as part of the healing service, that's fine. But please do not think that there is nothing you can do while actually passing on the spirit energies.
I was surprised to find in the literature from the SNU that they think clairvoyance in healing is unusual these days. Perhaps this is so, I find that strange, what is everyone actually doing in all the time taken to transfer the energies? Day dreaming?
I make no apology when I ask this, healing is not for us to pass the time while spirit do absolutely everything. Yes it’s nice to just stand there and enjoy the meditation, but what else could you be actively doing to help the guides and helpers get on?
Well, I haven’t done a survey – but I have had students who are very successful at seeing in this way. The broken bone in my foot when it happened years ago, and the observation of the healing process as that went on each week, was a useful teaching aid - although that wasn’t my intention when it happened!
This brings us to the point that it is good to have confirmation from another medium of what you are seeing, so find someone else to team up with if you can.
But first I will address the issue of what is the purpose of using clairvoyance in the healing service; the service in itself serves three purposes to ...
1] assist the spirit healers
2] attend the needy
3] you the healer
Developing over time, and using this clairvoyant gift whenever possible is how you can assist your own progress, and don't forget at the same time that of others in the spirit world, they too are on their journey of eternal progress!
Harry Edwards, the most famous spiritualist healer of our age, [see Healing Book List] was referring to benefits of attunement, spiritual assistance, and attaining further knowledge, when he talked about healers who possess knowledge of the faculty of co-operation with the bodily intelligences can fulfill a greater purpose in the healing act.
He says that these kind of healers are conscious collaborators, acting in an additional positive manner, and with unity of purpose a greater quickening is achieved. Attunement is acceptance and co-operation, it is so important that we should not limit the extent of help that may be given by the bodily intelligence or methods by which it can be used - and don't forget to talk to the ‘helpers’.
What using the ‘bodily intelligence’ here means is what is now known as using the individual physical cell ‘memories’ of recent research. As spiritualists we are aware that the retained memories at the cellular physical level, are also retained in the astral or ‘etheric blueprint’ which the Masters tell us we take back into the spirit world at the end of this part of our journey.
Let me ask you a question, who would you rather help, a person who is knowing as much as possible about the situation, or one who hasn’t done any homework?
But, just for the mentioned benefit of ourselves and the spirit guides is only one simple reason to start and take notice of your patient’s inner body.
Next we come to the patient, for legal reasons we cannot prescribe, we cannot give medical advice, we cannot indeed say anything that might call into dispute their doctor’s opinion, regardless of what you might think or 'see'. This applies to mediumship in any form, platform service also. But having got that straight what can we say?
Think for a moment, as healers do we have other responsibilities? Because we also need to remember that we are mediums too. Yes, a spiritualist healer is a spiritualist medium. Many people come to spiritualism through the healing ministry; perhaps you were one of these like me?
It is very reassuring to a person when you can give information they have not actually given you when they arrive for healing, this is evidence, and “You’re having a bit of pain in your foot to aren’t you?" is indeed showing the patient that you have spiritual assistance, the opposite extreme would be for them to see you as casual, and nobody is suggesting that. Let’s be clear here, this needs to be thoughtfully done, no egos in the equation.
Where does the information come from? Is it psychic or spiritual, well that’s up to you, ask for spiritual and they will use your abilities whatever they are, psychic or otherwise, as long as spirit are in control that’s got to be fine with us.
I am sometimes asked "How do you know what is hurting in a patient, where to put your hands?" My answer is this; I feel it on a level that is not physical, I go into a light meditation and 'let it roll'! At one time it was physical [just like whilst giving communications] but I asked that to be taken off me and some other way brought in, this the guides did. So please if you feel anything in the physical do this too.
Well, any information you need you ask for don’t you? This is basic, a need is expressed and the spirits respond, you are aware of this aren’t you? Perhaps you’re not? Is it so spontaneous, this expression of need, that you are not aware of your actually doing it? That’s fine carry on doing what you do, just ask for a bit more knowledge - and as in other clairvoyance [in a circle etc] you will receive in whatever way is best for you, see – hear - feel – all is good information for your use.
What is the point of all this information coming your way? Well, we don’t always get feedback from the patients do we? It will give you confidence that your work is good. Moving on to another level is progress, and by the way, I hope you keep a diary of how your abilities are going on, things that have happened and observations, this is so that - like a growing child - you can see from a little distance later on that yes, you are growing!
Use the God given interest [curiosity] we all have, to see improvement in anything, watch what happens while you are actually healing, see what goes on. Perhaps you notice the energies are in colour, see them change do they go from ‘dirty’ to clean’? This tells you what? Write it down later...
Example, the broken bone, notice how the fracture is sitting, observe what spirits are doing, watch the energies and how they work. Did they seem to glow? Was there any movement around the problem?
What if you can’t see anything going on at the time? Or if you can’t think what to do with this info – then hold a dialogue with spirit friends, ask them what can you do, arouse your natural curiosity!
Have a meditation to assist - this is the thing to do! Get a friend to join in with you meditating or saying a prayer or two, as it says in the Bible, "when two or three are gathered..."
Don’t give up! Ask and we all will receive!
At the next circle - the one for general progress of the individual - there is your chance to utilise the energies and put the questions to them, that’s what the circle is for, to use the good energies of all people there present, for any particular need, and if you don’t now what to ask for, tell them "I don;t know what to ask for". They will provide, but only with your co-operation!
Don’t have time for this? Well that’s OK just remember when you do have time to ask again what you missed or what to do with this info and there you are back in the swim of things!
Now go to the article that seems to follow on naturally from this one – one that piques your interest!
Happy reading!
End.
