Thoughts and the Inner Self
As a professional healer I
would say that the thought processes are just as important as the physical maintenance,
because negativity comes in many forms and positivity affects our whole lives,
on every level. Do you have a habit of thinking in a negative way?
What do you actively do to
establish peace and harmony to your inner self? Not thought about it too much?
Don’t you know it’s all-important for you health?
We all spend much of our
lives within our own thoughts, but we are not always kindly in them. We accept
from our own selves that which we would not from others, who if we called them
‘friend’ would sorely be offended by them.
At any time or place where
strength is valued, (in the working life perhaps,) kindness may be seen as
weakness, yet strength and kindness are not opposites, as indeed strength is
not necessarily harshness.
Between the word and deed
lies a land of sometimes-unfamiliar passage, varying from the brief to the
unending; this is the world of thought.
Each of us knows the speed
with which a thought of cruelty can be delivered; and we also know time’s
opposite, a hope suspended in silent space, paused between it's long time enemies, fear and failure.
And yet we go to this place,
of easily distorted time and deception, so frequently unarmed, unprepared, and
sometimes feeling even unwelcome there, we go to this landscape of inner
thinking, as travellers seeking familiar sign posts on our progression to a
better place.
How can we prepare ourselves
inside this timeless universe of the unfamiliar, to emerge in readiness with
the strength and that old-fashioned word … ‘fortitude’?
By taking in there with us
the basic tools and equipment we all have, but so seldom use.
By treating the self first
with these gifts, we practice the abilities we seek so often in others.
By becoming proficient in
those practices which arm us with an almost magical ‘force field’ of thought,
we no longer need the armour of defence, because nothing can penetrate the
power of thought, only that which we allow.
All else just bounces off.
So what are these practices
that need no outward assistance, these tools and equiptments of which I speak? They have no physical content, no limiting
boundaries. They are not given, but found.
Found within, and when memory
is allowed to serve, it recalls these gifts inherited.
Gifts of knowledge brought
from another place beyond conscious thought, a place where we were prepared for
this journey, this progression, by higher, humble, loving, kindly thinkers,
with eyes on more distant horizons that we can conceive.
What is this knowledge,
hidden so often from the traveller in this earthly inner plane?
Why ... ... go back to your former
self, look at one who has no guile, no cynicism, seek out the innocent, the child who does
not doubt, who cannot be anything except positive, encouraging, loving kind and
honest.
You may find in deeper memory
a forgotten time, beyond the physical if you allow the possibility of hope; for
thoughts as this travel beyond the familiar world.
We might not recognise immediately
these tools we all brought with us, and yet they are there, loving kindness,
forgiveness, acceptance, confidence and all the positives that create and
cannot destroy.
Yes, these are the tools we
can use to work on ourselves, which false hope somehow expects to find outside. And
these gifts, having worked their magic transform into a self-perpetuating
holistic energy, and continue to expand like newly discovered universes
exponentially, into the unknown.
So we follow a newly found
thread of this energy, this knowledge, this inner confidence, and there within
our thoughts a change has been wrought. A change of subtle awareness that here are all the wonders of perception, here inside our minds.
Our thoughts are our own,
cleansed and purified time and time again by our own positive thinking, without any need
for assistance, save that which is built into our deeper recesses, there for us
to use those tools of generosity. This is freedom, this is release, this is
what we are born to achieve.
We are
carrying an eternal message programmed into this vessel, this temporary
housing, which acts as a homing device centred on the beacon of eternity.
It flashes out with love....
“Welcome home!”
