THIS SITE IS FOR INFORMATION ABOUT SPIRITUALISM (WE ARE NOT SELLING THING)
MAIN MENU 'Spiritualism' is a general section covering the basics of Spriitualism divided into the basics of:
Philosophy, which is for everyone, put simply
it's a way of thinking, and we can all adjust that, can't we? Spiritualist Churches don't have 'sermons', the 'Speaker' (medium) gives an 'Address', there is a big difference!
Evidence covers all the forms of clairvoyance, and Healing speaks for itself.'Articles' has many more drop
downs with individual titles for more specific subjects.
FAQ's Frequently Asked Questions have a lot of student requests both old and new
Churches - Do give me as much information about YOUR church as you can please. We
mediums see only the churches we actually serve, and I rely on my
internet friends all over the country for feedback, why don't you send
me an email now? CLICK ON 'CONTACT STELLA'.
Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine This is my 'Day Job' ~ together with Hypnotherapy, which you will find quite a bit about on other sections because altered states of awareness overlaps with spiritual development a lot.
Top right
corner: Popular pages that have been most talked about over time,
especially the "Report on Spiritualism" if you feel strongly about
prejudice see the PETITION below.
The Speakers Prayor: Dear
Lord, help
me to live simply, love generously, care deeply, and speak kindly. Amen.
A question, are
you the sort of person who would prefer to dip your toe slowly and gently into
seemingly strange waters? Maybe you'd only walk through the door of a church if
it were raining? [Joke!]
And so you've
found this website ... good for you! Perhaps you'd like to get some
information? Then you have come to the right place because this site is
for just that, we aren't selling things.
Or perhaps you
want to know if what you've heard about Spiritualism is true ? Are they all
cranks?
So, what exactly
do YOU know about this subject? I must say there are some funny
stories going about! ..... Both "funny ha ha" and "funny
peculiar"! Well, you can be a spiritual person without ever setting foot
in a church - you don't need me to tell you that do you?
But, if you are an
intelligent person and have an inquiring mind, then information is what you
seek. I too have looked on the net for info regarding spiritualism and come up
a bit lacking in places, so it is my sincere wish to fill those gaps with
sensible helpful information for you.
There will be some
things that you agree with, good. There will be some things you disagree with,
that's fine too. But what we all must do is follow our common sense - and
spiritualism tells us all to do exactly that, there is no creed and no dogma in
this ‘ism'!
Nothing is ever
taken as 'read', DO question everything - we're not in the blind trust
business! But to find what you need just now, send a genuine thought out for
help, and spirit will provide. [I have done this many times and am still
surprised at the results!]
We DO expect
everyone to seek the truth of the fact that there is no 'death' by asking for
that proof, EVIDENCE just like in a court of law, this is what a Spiritualist
Medium's job is all about - giving proof!
Let me say it
again, PROOF is what we are all about!
I have found that
there are basically three doors we all pass through to find a comfortable
church, our 'spiritual home', and whatever our reasons these are grouped in the
spiritualist church as: Healing, Evidence and Philosophy.
HEALING is a big
subject and you will find that there is a great deal in that section, this is
because like myself, so many people come into Spiritualism through that 'door',
needing help that they feel cannot be received elsewhere, physical, emotional
or spiritual.
EVIDENCE or
'proof' has other names, ‘messages' or ‘communications' for example, but it all
boils down to wanting to know if our loved ones have arrived safely in the next
world, from whence we all came.
PHILOSOPHY in the
spiritualist movement is another name for teaching the understanding, and this
is the biggest subject ever! You will find no preaching in a spiritualist
church, for a medium does not give a sermon, s/he will allow the spiritual
mediumship to work in a most natural way and talk spontaneously from the heart
with guidance from the Eternal Spirit...
... There are some
mediums that are very good at this part, they have had training through the
various schemes available, but please, if you find by chance that you have
‘landed' on another kind of medium have patience and try again, each church has
a different speaker every week, you will soon remember the interesting ones!
To quote Cecilia
Meireles ... "There are people who speak to us and we do not listen to
them; there are people who hurt us and they don't leave a scar, but there are
people who simply appear in our life and they mark us for ever."
May your marks
be loving spiritual ones!
Also, it won't
hurt to ask spirit for guidance as you do that, so just think of
your Guardian Angel and say "Good help please!" and off you
go...!
Bon
voyage! ...... Stella
P.S. July 2009
Many
years ago my son wanted to give me a gift, I was at the time beginning
a new medical training course and clearing out a lot of old study papers, from the many courses I had done over the years with the Spiritualist National Union, this was to
make room for all the new books.
Rather than help me put years of hard
work into the loft to gather dust, he asked if I would like to share my
essays with other people who might be interestd in spiritualism. I
couldn't imagine how.
"Aha!" he said "Put them all on a website and I will design it for you. Happy birthday!"
And
that is how it started. The years have gone by and I am now still
writting on here, my best wishes go out to you all, I will never know
exactly how you have been helped by us, but I know it has all been
worth while.
God bless.
“We are divine but imperfect beings who exist in two worlds,
material and spiritual. It is our destiny to shuttle back and forth between
these universes through space and time while we learn to master ourselves and
acquire knowledge. We must trust in this process with patience and
determination. Our essence is not fully knowable in most physical hosts, but
Self is never lost because we always remain connected to both worlds."
Michael Newton ~ "Journey of Souls"
I like this one ... Just going to
church doesn't make you a Christian or spiritual. Not any more than standing in
a garage makes you a car! :)
Many religions from all opver the world are taught about in school, but Spiritualism is not. It is silently ignored.
Do you feel that the teaching of all religions except Spriritualism is wrong?
